The homeless, nameless drunk felt them coming. They, the indestructible, omniscient star creatures, have traveled the universe for eons, fixing every problem, perfecting every planet. Now on Earth, they offer perfection, asking nothing in return.
Except it isn't that easy. It never is.
Their form of communication is lethal to all living Earth creatures. Every problem solved costs the lives of several people.
Some think perfection is worth the cost. Professor Peter Lowgoss doesn't think so, and neither do his friends. But with so many standing against them, including almost every politician around the planet, how do they stop the slaughter?
The drunk knows. It’s too bad no one thinks to ask him.
